Thank you to everyone who attended meditation class this term. It has been a wonderful journey of growth, love and support! The message we had was "find balance in life, life isn't a race so don't rush it. Open your heart space and learn to feel love". It was a meditation centred on learning and connection to #motherearth and #lovewithin
Meditation class returns for next term on the 2nd of May from 7:30pm. The cost is $20pp, tea is provided, bring along a pillow, yoga mat and a blanket.
It was a busy couple of weeks leading up to an amazing day at St Anne's Winery in Myrniong, situated west of Melbourne. It started when I was approached on Instagram to be invited to a Mediterranean themed market event where they were after someone to read coffee cups. So I said yes we have someone and off the tribe and I went.
A huge thank you to Deb and Mark who did the readings on the day. Deb was on tarot cards and Mark was reading coffee cups - so cool to hang out with this team helping people and giving them some clarity. Thank you to Deb and Mark's children who made the coffee, took the bookings and helped me out with selling products.
Loved it so much that it inspired me to get that shop online sorted. So many people loved the crystal jewellery and earrings. I sold out of a few items and need to now replenish the stock ready for the 'Health and Harmony' market on May the 5th.
If you are interested in any of the jewellery or stones provided in the images please email, text or call me and I am happy to post them out or you can purchase them at the shop when I am there.
The New Moon in Pisces Thursday 7th of March (A.E.T). Pisces, the fish, a spiritual being, connecting you through the realms, asking you to drop any expectations that are holding us back. Instead, to go within and embrace a new set of ideas or beliefs.
This New Moon beckons you to upgrade your way of THINKING and to do away with your thoughts or behaviours and habits that no longer serve you.
Working with the new moon is about writing down your intentions and visually seeing yourself do these specific intentions. Light a candle to burn your intentions, collect the ashes and bury them into the earth.
Health Issues: Pisces rules the feet, lymphatics and liver. Common concerns are aching feet, bunions, blisters and corns.
Essential Oils: Black pepper, rosemary, cedar-wood peppermint, bergamot and basil are very good for grounding your dreamy, unpractical nature. For nuturing your sensitive inner-self try lavender, elemi, sandalwood, patchouli, rose, ginger, frankincemse and ylang ylang. Tea tree, peppermint, lavender and lemon which are great essential oils to use with the feet and during the next full moon.
What is mucus and where is it found?
Mucus by definition is a normal, slippery and stringy fluid substance produced by many lining tissues in the human body, YOUR body (nose, lung, throat, sinuses and digestive tract). It is essential for bodily functions and acts as a protective and moisturising layer to keep critical organs from drying out.
Mucus also acts as a trap for irritants like dust, smoke, or bacteria. It contains antibodies and bacteria-killing enzymes to help fight off infections. The body produces a lot of mucus - about 1 to 1.5 liters per day. We don't tend to notice mucus at all unless its production is increased or the quality of mucus has changed, as may happen with different illnesses and conditions (Medicine.net, 2019).
What do I need to avoid on an anti-mucus diet?
Many people suffer with producing too much or excessive amounts of mucus. However, there are certain foods that may worsen mucus production and its thickness in the body. Foods that you are allergic or intolerant to typical cause your body to produce more mucus than normal to protect those areas.
Common food allergies include:
- Fish & Shellfish
If mucus production or other symptoms persist then always consult your doctor for advice as allergies can be series.
Then there are foods that may cause an increase histamine response in your body which makes you produce more mucus. For example, bananas, strawberries, pineapple, papaya, eggs and chocolate but there are more. However, keep in mind everyone's body reacts differently and you must consult with your doctor when trying to determine reasons behind mucus production.
So then what can I eat?

There are many things that you can eat to help reduce mucus production and here are a few tips with research:
Hopefully this helps a few of you to one understand why your body produces mucus, what can trigger mucus production and how to manage producing more. There are always choices to consider but as always please consult a health professional before you take those steps.
A little about me. Currently I'm a full time teacher and a part time reiki healer. Though one thing is for sure, I love travelling as it awakens my soul. So I thought I'd share how my two worlds collide here on my "blog" and all things spiritual.
