Hey All!
Welcome to Stella's Light Healing. My name is Anna and I am the Owner and Founder of Stella's Light Healing and Thornbury Apothecary. I am living in the northern suburbs of Melbourne with my mini menagerie. After graduating with 3 degrees in Marine Biology, Secondary Education and a Master's in Education, I started my career as a Science Teacher and later, in October 2014 I created Stella's Light Healing. For the last 11 years I have run Stella's Light Healing alongside my part time teaching job.
In the beginning…
The idea of Stella's Light Healing began many years ago practicing on friends and family. What began as quiet curiosity grew into a calling, especially after a life-changing encounter in the winter of 2006. Through a mutual friend, I was introduced to Peter Adherne, who soon became not only a dear friend but also a profound spiritual mentor.
Peter’s wisdom guided me to deepen my spiritual awareness through meditation, intuition exercises, and soulful practices that awakened something within me. His influence shaped the very foundation of my path. When Peter sadly passed from cancer in September 2009, his legacy became a light I knew I had to carry forward.
In October 2013, with Peter’s guidance still echoing in my heart — and in honour of both him and my Uncle Joe — I formally created Stella’s Light Healing. My vision was to build a healing hub where people could discover the light within themselves and feel empowered to take their next steps on their own journey.
Over the years, my practice has blossomed. I’ve trained in and become accredited across multiple healing modalities, weaving together a range of techniques to support clients in ways that are both powerful and deeply personal. I have become accredited in the following modalities:
Reiki Level II trained by an ARC Reiki Master.
Ear/Body Candling qualification by an accredited IICT and TGA practitioner and trainer.
Cupping (Body and Face Cupping) Therapy by an accredited IICT practitioner and trainer.
Intuitive Healing trained by Peter Adherne from Soul Song.

With my intuition I approach each healing session in a unique way by reading the client's energy. The healing room is an intimate space filled with crystals, plants, a sprinkle of colour, light and love, dedicated in making you feel at home and comfortable. From The Start …
In 2020, during the pandemic, my little shelf shop that I had in my room moved online due to the demand for crystals, sage, and natural home organic healing remedies. From a shelf shop to manifesting my own space was my next step. The idea formed in my head two years prior, however, serious thought didn’t begin until the pandemic hit and hey presto rental spaces hit the market and became affordable.
I stumbled across this little shop admiring all its dusty, musky, pink and blue interior, and like a vision, I was given exactly what to do. It was clear to me, but for Builder Dave and Jax they looked at me and allowed my creativity to just flow. It was fun renovating and visiting the same five places nearly everyday to make the dream happen. We are so proud of what we have created, a little gem, a wondrous healing space where classes are on offer and a range of therapists use the space.
So welcome to Thornbury Apothecary. We are so honoured and proud to share our little sanctuary with you!
To Where We Are Now..
We are now located just up the road from our old space at 800 High St, Thornbury next door to Thornbury Picture House. As we are growing and expanding we needed more room and space. We have now nestled into our new space with four active rooms available and our beautiful shop front. We can’t wait to see you!
