Thank you to everyone who came to the 'Girls' Night In' on the 9th of November. We raised a total of $1300 during 6-9pm which was a fantastic effort. A huge shout out to the beautiful readers, Gina (coffee cups), Maria (tarot), Kerry (Tea Leaves), Deborah (pillars & tarot), Molly (facials), Anna (myself with Healings) and Salwa for hosting the evening! The money raised from the 'Girls’ Night In' event, will help the Cancer Council research into cervical cancer prevention and screening.
"Australia has been at the forefront of cervical cancer prevention for decades and Cancer Council has helped inform the latest improvements to the National Cervical Screening Program. Biennial Pap smears have now been replaced with five-yearly tests for HPV (human papillomavirus), which is responsible for 99% of cervical cancers. While the previous Pap test detected abnormal cell changes, the new Cervical Screening Test will detect the HPV infection that can cause the abnormal cell changes, prior to the development of cancer. Testing will also start later, at age 25 instead of 18-20, because screening young women does not seem to reduce their risk of cervical cancer – unlike the HPV vaccine which is already dramatically reducing HPV infections and cervical abnormalities in young women. Cancer Council research helped inform these significant changes, which are expected to reduce cancer cases and deaths by 20%" (Cancer Council, 2019).
Again thank you for your contribution and honouring women who fight everyday with cancer.

A little about me. Currently I'm a full time teacher and a part time reiki healer. Though one thing is for sure, I love travelling as it awakens my soul. So I thought I'd share how my two worlds collide here on my "blog" and all things spiritual.
